Privacy Policy

Website privacy policy.

Last updated: April 2026

This privacy policy explains how Tyler McEwen, LCSW ("the practice," "I," or "me") handles information collected through this website. It applies only to the website. The privacy of clinical communication and treatment records is governed by HIPAA and California law and is described separately in your Notice of Privacy Practices, which you'll receive at intake.

Information collected

  • Contact form submissions. When you submit the contact form, I collect your name, email address, phone number (optional), preferred contact method, and the message you write. I use this only to respond to your inquiry.
  • Basic analytics. The site may collect anonymized usage data (pages viewed, browser type, approximate location) to understand site performance. No personal identifiers are tied to this data.
  • Cookies. The site uses only essential cookies required for the site to function. No third-party advertising or tracking cookies are used.

How information is used

Information you provide through the contact form is used solely to respond to you and, if you become a client, to begin the intake process. It is not sold, rented, or shared with third parties for marketing.

Security of contact form data

The contact form submits over an encrypted (HTTPS) connection. However, general email is not a fully secure channel. Please do not share highly sensitive clinical or medical information through the contact form or by email. After we connect, we will move clinically sensitive communication to a secure platform.

Your rights

California residents may request that their inquiry information be deleted at any time. To make a request, email tyler@tylermcewentherapy.com.
